RALEIGH, N.C. --Â The NC State men's and women's track and field teams will compete at the Texas Tech Classic in Lubbock, Texas, Thursday, Jan. 24 - Saturday, Jan. 26 at the Sports Performance Center. The Pack has 20 track and field competitors entered in the meet.
Last Time Out
NC State competed at the Hokie Invitational at Rector Field House in Blacksburg, Va., Friday, Jan. 18 and Saturday, Jan. 19, as the women's 4x400m relay team consisting of Alexis Postell, Gabriele Cunningham, McKenzie Long, and Jada Griffin set a new school record.Â
Dominique Clairmonte (4:38.55) and Elly Henes (4:38.75) ran their way to first and second-place finishes in the women's mile, while Lauren Evans collected her seventh first-place finish of the indoor season. On Friday and Saturday combined, NC State found a place on the podium nine times.

NC State currently has four competitors ranked in the top-10 nationally. Cravont Charleston's 60m time (6.59) ranks third, Clairmonte's mile time (4:38.55) ranks fourth, Henes' mile time (4:38.75) ranks fifth, and Evans' shot put mark (55'0.75", 16.78m) ranks 10th.
Pack Setting School Records
The men's and women's teams have set five school records combined in the 2018-19 indoor track and field season.
Henes outdid her own women's indoor 5000m record in the Wolfpack track and field record books on Dec. 2, 2018, as she set the new school record with a non-converted time of 15:41.63 in the 5000m at the JDL Early Bird Duals at the JDL Fast Track.

Evans threw for the NC State program shot put record with a 55'0.75" (16.78m) mark at the Clemson Opener in Clemson, S.C., on Dec. 8, 2018. Â
Cunningham set the NC State women's indoor 300m dash school record with a 38.78 mark to win the event at the Clemson Orange & Purple Elite on Friday, Jan. 11. Later that day, Charleston broke the NC State men's track and field indoor 60m dash record with a time of 6.59 in the men's 60m dash final.Â
