Track and Field Heads to Virginia Tech for Hokie Invitational

The Wolfpack will compete Friday, Jan. 18 and Saturday, Jan. 19
RALEIGH--Â The NC State men's and women's track and field teams will compete at the Hokie Invitational Friday, Jan. 18 and Saturday, Jan. 19 in Blacksburg, Va. Competing at Rector Field House, it will be the team's first look at the ACC Indoor Track & Field Championships venue. The Wolfpack is among a field of 15 teams entered in the meet.Â
Last Time Out
The NC State men's and women's track and field teams competed at the Clemson Orange & Purple Elite on Friday, Jan. 11 in Clemson, S.C. at the Clemson Indoor Track & Field Complex. Cravont Charleston broke the NC State men's track and field indoor 60m dash record with a time of 6.59 in the men's 60m dash final. Overall, the Wolfpack collected 12 podium finishes at the meet.
Gabriele Cunningham also set a new indoor school mark in the 300m dash (38.78).
Lauren Evans took home two first-place finishes on Friday in women's shot put and weight throw.
