
Three Achieve New Personal Bests on Final Day of VT Invite

BLACKSBURG, VA - The NC State track and field team returned to action today with three athletes setting personal best marks on the final day of the Virginia Tech Invitational.
JUMPS
In the women's triple jump, Jacksonville, N.C. native Jayda Hunter produced a mark of 12.59m to take second and establish a new personal best. Veteran jumper Jirah Sidberry also competed in the event and registered a leap of 12.22m to finish fifth overall.
McKenna Moritz and Jakerra Covington each represented the Wolfpack in the women's high jump and finished inside the top-10. Moritz placed ninth with a jump of 1.60m and Covington took 10th after leaping 1.55m, a season best for the junior.
In the men's high jump, Kyzaiah Stone came in sixth with a mark of 2.06m and freshman Judd Armstrong made his collegiate debut in the event with a jump of 2.01m that earned him seventh place.
THROWS
Ta'Honny Exum put her name in the NC State record books with a throw of 13.79 in the women's shot put that established the seventh-best mark in school history.
On the men's side of the shot put, Nathan Lau also established a new PB after throwing 15.09m.
UP NEXT
The Pack will return to action in Blacksburg on Friday, January 19 as it takes part in the first day of the Hokie Invitational.
