Wolfpack Returns to Action at 130th Penn Relays

RALEIGH, N.C. - The NC State track & field team will compete at the 130th Penn Relays during its sixth week of competition.

LAST TIME OUT
For the second time this outdoor season, Sadie Engelhardt set a new school record, this time in the 1500m at the Wake Forest Invitational. Engelhardt clocked 4:03.28 to finish second in her heat, a mark that is also a new ACC Record.
That time currently ranks No. 3 in the NCAA this season and No. 6 all-time.
Kate Putman got the three days of meets started on Thursday was a strong steeplechase debut at Wake Forest, placing fourth overall in 9:56.26, the third-fastest time in program history.
In Charlottes, Va. the triple jump team soared to new marks as David Coles (15.90m) and Ryan John (15.71m) cleared marks that landed them in the top-10 of NC State history. On the women's side, Mariam Hunt cleared a personal-best 12.86m, to stay at No. 5 all-time at NC State.
In Greensboro, N.C., Kyra Durham and Elijah Dawes both claimed third place finishes in the 800m and 400m respectively. Shauné Ingraham also achieved a personal-best time of 54.17 in the 400m to stay at No. 4 all-time in program history.
Closing out the Aggie Invitational, Alexis Mayhew, Ingraham, Durham and Molly Canon combined to finish fourth in the 4x400 relay with a time of 3:46.62, the ninth-fastest time in school history.
Altogether, the Wolfpack achieved 11 personal best times and six top-10 program marks.
NATIONAL RANKINGS
The Wolfpack currently has 17 athletes ranked among 10 events in the top-48 of the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field East Region. The team also has five event squads ranked in the top-25 of the NCAA. Check out all of our national rankings here!
