#7 Wrestling Heads to Southeast Open for First Competition

RALEIGH – Seventh-ranked NC State wrestling is sending 15 wrestlers across eight weight classes to the Southeast Open as part of the opening weekend of the 2025-26 collegiate wrestling season.
Southeast Wrestling Tournament Info
• Official start time is 9 a.m. at the Cregger Center in Salem, Va.
• Live stream of the matches will be available on FloWrestling.
• Teams competing include: Appalachian State, Campbell University, Citadel, Coker, Davidson College, Franklin & Marshall, Gardner-Webb, George Mason, Marymount, Morgan State, NC State, Noke RTC, Ohio University, Presbyterian, Southeastern University (NAIA), U of Maryland, U of Minnesota / Gopher WC, U of North Carolina, U of Tennessee - Chattanooga, U of Virginia, VA Military Institute, Virginia Tech and West Virginia University.

• The ACC holds five teams ranked nationally in the top-25 through the first week of competition (No. 7 NC State, No. 10 Virginia Tech, No. 14 Stanford, No. 21 Pittsburgh, and No. 23 North Carolina). There are seven teams total with wrestling programs in the ACC.
• Seven of the 10 weight classes for NC State boast a ranked wrestler by InterMat, five of which are in the top-10.
