Wolfpack Wrestling Alumni Prepare to Compete at Senior World Team Trials

RALEIGH – The 2026 Senior World Team Trials kick off today at the Norton Healthcare Sports & Learning Center in Louisville, Kentucky, and will feature two alumni of the NC State wrestling program in action.

Competition is set to take place today and tomorrow, with winners earning a Final X berth in June. Wrestlers who become victorious at Final X directly earn a spot on the Senior World Team for Team USA.

Coming off his national championship in March at heavyweight and graduation from the university last week, Isaac Trumble will represent Wolfpack RTC at 125 lbs. Graduate of the 2025 class, Ed Scott, who is now an assistant coach at Utah Valley under former NC State associate head coach Adam Hall, will represent Brunson UVRTC at 70 kg.
