
NC State Heads South for Bob Pollock Invitational

RALEIGH, N.C. – The NC State track and field team is set to compete at the Bob Pollock Invitational in Clemson, South Carolina, from Jan. 31 to Feb. 1. The meet will be streamed live on ACC Network Extra.

LAST TIME OUT
NC State last competed at the Hokie Invitational on Jan. 24–25, while Grace Hartman raced at the JDL Flat Is Fast Invitational.
Elijah Dawes finished second in the 400m with a time of 48.02, earning a spot on NC State's all-time top 10 indoor list. The performance follows his record-breaking run in the 300m last week, where he set a program record with a time of 33.70.
Jailen Hobbs secured his first podium finish of the season, placing third in the 60m with a season-best time of 6.82.
Hannah Gapes won her first indoor race of the season, taking first in the mile with a time of 4:36.30. Teammates Brooke Rauber (4:38.45) and Kate Putman (4:39.94) completed a podium sweep for NC State, finishing second and third, respectively.
In the men's mile, Kevin Antczak placed second with a personal-best time of 4:07.91.
Tyson Adams secured his second straight victory in the long jump with a mark of 7.40m(24-3½).
Charles McBride earned two podium finishes, winning the high jump for the second consecutive meet with a mark of 2.16m (7-1) and placing third in the triple jump with a mark of 15.41m (50-6¾).
Kyzaiah Stone finished second in the high jump with a mark of 2.06m (6-9). Teammates Christian Hackett (2.06m, 6-9) and Judd Armstrong (1.96m, 6-5) placed fourth and fifth, respectively.Jayda Hunter continued her strong performances, winning the triple jump with a mark of 12.53m (41-1½).
McKenna Moritz recorded a personal best in the high jump, clearing 1.66m (5-5¼) to finish fifth.
Tony Taylor II represented NC State in the throws, achieving a personal best of 17.48m (57-4¼) in the weight throw to finish fifth.
