Track & Field to Continue Season at Virginia Challenge

RALEIGH - The NC State track & field programs are set to compete at the Virginia Challenge April 21-23 as they continue their outdoor seasons.
Thirty-three student-athletes will make the trip to compete in 35 events.

Multiple members of the Pack posted top-10 program marks at the Tom Jones Memorial.Â
Jirah Sidberry charted the fifth-best women's long jump mark in NC State history with a 6.12m (12' 1") jump while McKenzie Long (23.38)and Jada Griffin (23.67) improved their own top-10 marks in the women's 200m, Long with the third-fastest time and Griffin with the seventh-quickest.
Brandi Hughes ran a 13.48 for the fifth-best women's 100m hurdles in the Wolfpack record book, and Ally Henson turned in a 13.72 for the sixth-best program mark in the event.
Andrew Haberman's men's hammer throw mark of 60.96m (200' 0") ranks third in NC State history, and Kayla Beasley's 13.52m (44' 4.25") women's shot put throw checks in as the eighth-best.
UP NEXT
NC State will participate in three meets the weekend of April 28-30. Members of the team will travel to Philadelphia, Pa., for the Penn Relays while others will make the trip to Charlotte, N.C., for the Charlotte Invitational. Rounding out the weekend of competition is the Torrin Lawrence Memorial in Athens, Ga.
