
Wolfpack Throwers Open Virginia Challenge Competition

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. - The NC State track & field teams began competition at the Virginia Challenge on Thursday, competing in the men's and women's hammer throw.
Andrew Haberman highlighted the day for the Pack with a personal-best mark of 61.30m (201' 1"). The throw replaces his own third-best toss in program history.
Lance Penegar also suited up on the men's side, posting a 53.09m (174' 2") throw.
In the women's section, Makala Wright tabbed a 50.28m (164' 11") mark while Caitlyn Vester threw for 45.63m (149' 8"). Kayla Beasley rounded things out with a 42.78m (140' 4") toss.
