
NC State Completes Tom Jones Memorial Action

GAINESVILLE, Fla. - The NC State track & field teams wrapped up competition at the Tom Jones Memorial on Saturday, recording four top-10 program marks and multiple personal records.
DISTANCE
Caroline Lewis represented NC State in the women's 800m, posting a personal-best 2:16.48.
SPRINTS
Brandi Hughes and Ally Henson opened the day of competition for NC State with a pair of PRs and top-10 program marks in the women's 100m hurdles prelims.
Hughes recorded a 13.48 for the fifth-best mark in program history while Henson clocked a 13.72 to the sixth-best program time.
In the men's 110m hurdles prelims, Cameron Murray advanced out to the final with a 13.94 that was the seventh-fastest overall time in the preliminaries.
THROWS
The women's hammer throw saw Mahkayla Hart register a PR with her mark of 47.40m (155'6").
On the men's side, Andrew Haberman posted a 60.96m (200' 0") that was a personal best as well as the third-best mark in program history. Lance Penegar tabbed a PR in the event as well, charting a 54.11m (177' 6").
Kayla Beasley threw her way into the record book as well, attaining a 13.52m (44' 4.25") mark that was good for the eighth-best program mark as well as her personal record.
UP NEXT
The squad is set to travel to Charlottesville, Va., to compete in the Virginia Challenge April 22-24.
