#Pack9 Welcomes Georgia Tech This Weekend

RALEIGH – NC State baseball (12-8, 1-4 ACC) will welcome another ranked conference opponent to Doak Field at Dail Park this weekend, as it will face No. 12 Georgia Tech (16-6, 4-2 ACC) in a three-game series. The teams will play Friday at 6:30 p.m., Saturday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 1 p.m.
Friday and Sunday's games will be broadcast on ACCNX, while Saturday's contest will air on the ACC Network. All three games will have an audio stream on WKNC 88.1 and the Varsity Network App.

LAST TIME OUT
NC State hosted North Carolina A&T on Tuesday night in Raleigh and secured a 5-3 victory.
Four of the team's five runs scored were by way of the home run, courtesy of a solo shot by LuJames Groover III and a three-run blast by Josh Hood. Will Marcy added to the offense with a 2-for-2 outing to extend his reached base streak to a team-best 10 games.
Garrett Payne tossed 5.1 innings in his first start of the season to earn the win, while Canaan Silver threw the final 3.2 innings of the game and matched his career high in strikeouts with four to pick up his first save of the year.

NC State and Georgia Tech have met 137 times in program history, as the Yellow Jackets lead the all-time series, 78-59. The last time the teams met was on May 29, 2021, in the ACC Tournament semifinals at Truist Field in Charlotte, N.C., and NC State cruised to an 8-1 win to advance to the title game.
The last time the teams met in Raleigh was on Feb. 26-28, 2021, and the Jackets swept the series with 9-2, 8-3 and 8-4 wins.
NC State has won five of the last six series meetings, dating back to 2012.

Senior Devonte Brown has drawn a team-high 21 walks this season, which ranks third in the ACC and 11th in the NCAA. He has drawn at least one walk in 16 games and held a 14-game reached base streak to start the season.
Additionally, he has reached safely in 19 of the Pack's 20 games this year.
DOUBLE TROUBLE
Hood has hit a league-best 10 doubles so far this season, which ranks 14th in the NCAA. He has hit a combined four in the Pack's last three games and has gone 9-for-14 at the plate in that span with two home runs.
Six of his nine hits in the last three games have been for extra bases.
