Wolfpack Wraps Up VT Invite Action

BLACKSBURG, Va. - The NC State track & field teams concluded competition at the VT Invite on Saturday with multiple PRs and a top mark in the nation by Von Douglas.
JUMPS
Jirah Sidberry replaced her own ninth-best program mark in the women's long jump, posting PR of 5.87m (19'3.25"). Nahsheeda Facey tabbed a personal-best 5.28m (17'4") in the event.
Douglas took the men's long jump crown with a 7.96m (26'1.5"), the top mark in the country of the 2021-22 indoor season. His jump was a PR and was good for the third-best in program history.
Jamar Davis posted a top-10 program mark as well, jumping 7.67m (25"2') for the fifth-best mark nationally and the eighth-best in NC State history. His mark earned him a third-place finish at the meet.
Marcus Odums and Will Sistruck suited up for the Pack for the first time in the long jump, Odums posting a 7.22m (23'8.25") and Sistruck recording a 6.82m (22'4.5").
THROWS
In the men's weight throw, Lance Penegar recorded a personal-best 15.45m (50'8.25") to place eighth overall.

NC State returns to Blacksburg, Va., for the Hokie Invitational Jan. 21-22.
