
School Records Fall at First Day of ACC Indoor Track & Field Championships

CLEMSON, S.C. - The NC State track & field team competed in its first day of action at the ACC Indoor Track & Field Championships on Thursday, breaking a school record and qualifying for finals in several events.
At the conclusion of the first day of action, NC State's women sit at seventh in the team scores with 10 points.
DISTANCE
Sophomore Kyle Durham bested his own school record in the men's 800m preliminaries, posting a personal-best 1:50.46 in the event. Durham finished just shy of qualifying for the finals with the seventh-fastest time in the preliminaries.
In the women's Distance Medley Relay (DMR), the Wolfpack women breezed past the school record. Sam Bush, Elly Henes, Alexis Postell and Anna Vess clocked an 11:07.64 that checks in as the eighth best mark in the nation. All four members of the DMR squad earned First Team All-ACC status with the time.
SPRINTS
Redshirt senior Junpai Dowdy tabbed a seventh-place finish in the men's 200m preliminaries, good to earn him a spot in the finals that will take place Saturday, Feb. 27. Dowdy recorded a 21.35, setting a new personal best.
On the women's side, Mia D'Ambrosio ran a 24.61 in the 200m. Her mark was a personal best and tied her for the 9th best time in program history. Imunique Archie also set a PR in the event, clocking a time of 25.32.
