
Track & Field Set for ACC Indoor Championships

RALEIGH - The NC State track & field teams will travel to Clemson, S.C., to compete in the 2021 Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Indoor Track & Field Championships Feb. 25-Feb. 27.

The Wolfpack will send 31 student-athletes to the meet, and those 31 student-athletes will compete in 32 events.
LAST TIME OUT
NC State tabbed solid outings at a pair of meets Feb. 19-20. Senior Michelle Cobb posted a first place-finishing performance in the women's triple jump at the Virginia Tech Challenge with a season-best 43'2.5" (13.17m).Â
At the Camel City Invite, junior Hannah Steelman took home second place in the women's elite 3000m with a time of 9:05.33. The mark checked in as the fourth-fastest mark in program history, and the converted time of 9:00.70 checks into the top-20 nationally.
Sophomore Kelsey Chmiel claimed second place in the women's 5000m with a 15:58.22 The run was good for the fourth-best in NC State history as well as the 11th-best time in the country.
The women's DMR team of Katelyn Tuohy, Alexis Postell, Anna Vess and Elly Henes clocked a second-place 11:15.90 for the fourth-fastest mark in Wolfpack team history. The team's mark checked in at the tenth-best in the nation.
Junior Savannah Shaw also earned a podium finish at the Camel City Invite, running a 4:42.38 in the women's mile that was a season best.

The Wolfpack looks ahead to the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships March 12-13 in Fayetteville, Ark.
