10 student-athletes entered to compete on Saturday
RALEIGH --Â The NC State track and field team will look to continue its early success on Saturday, Dec. 8 at the Clemson Opener in Clemson, S.C., at the Clemson Indoor Track & Field Complex. 10 student-athletes will compete in 13 events.
CLEMSON OPENER
The schedule is as follows:
10 A.M. - WOMEN'S LONG JUMP 10 A.M. - MEN'S HIGH JUMP 12 P.M. - WOMEN'S WEIGHT THROW 12:00 P.M. - WOMEN'S 60 METER HURDLES, PRELIM 12:35 P.M. - MEN'S 60 METER HURDLES, PRELIM 1:10 P.M. - WOMEN'S 60 METER DASH, PRELIM 2 P.M. - MEN'S POLE VAULT 3:30 P.M. - WOMEN'S 200 METER DASH 3:45 P.M. - MEN'S 200 METER DASH 4 P.M. - WOMEN'S SHOT PUT 4 P.M. - WOMEN'S HIGH JUMP 4:15 P.M. - MEN'S 3000 METER 5:00 P.M. - WOMEN'S 4x400 METER RELAY
LAST TIME OUT
Lauren Evans and Grace Gaudin opened up the indoor season at the JDL College Kick-Off Classic with first and second-place finishes respectively in the women's weight throw with marks of 68'11.25" (21.01m) and 58'2" (17.73m). Evans' 49'8.50" (15.15m) effort also earned her a gold-medal finish in the shot put competition.
In women's long jump, Mikieja Covington took home first-place honors, posting an 18'10.50" (5.75m) mark. Teammate Janel Pate recorded an 18'8" (5.69m) jump to take third place in the event.
