
NC State Begins Final Weekend Of ACC Qualifying

RALEIGH, N.C. - The NC State No. 8 women's and No. 18 men's track and field teams will head to three meets, as athletes aim for ACC qualifying marks on the final weekend before the conference championships.

NC State will compete at the Virginia Tech Challenge Friday, the UCS Invitational Saturday and the Kent Jones Invite Sunday.

Virginia Tech Challenge: Live Stats
NC State will send its women's horizontal jumpers to compete in the long jump. Amara Bell, Imari McLean and Javonne Antoine will aim to improve on their season-best mark ahead of the ACC Championships.

UCS Invitational: Live Stats
Several distance runners will travel to Winston-Salem, N.C. for the UCS Invitational at the JDL Fast Track. The men's DMR team will make its season debut as it aims to qualify for the ACC Championships. Meron Simon, Shannon Patterson, Philip Hall and Luis Vargas are slated to run the relay.

The Pack will also send several milers and 3,000m runners to search for the ACC standard.

NC State has seen success at the JLD Fast Track this season, earning a new school record and multiple national marks at the venue during the Camel City Elite.

Kent Jones Invitational:
The Pack's throwers, hurdles and sprinters will make the short trip to Chapel Hill, N.C., for the Kent Jones Invitational Sunday. All three groups have a host of ACC qualifying marks and will look to improve their PRs and season-bests or add a second ACC qualifying mark in a different event.

This is also the team's second trip to North Carolina's Eddie Smith Field House, as the group opened the season at the Dick Taylor Carolina Cup.
