NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The NC State track and field team continued to progress through the season and earned six ACC qualifying marks and a slew of new PRs on the final day of the Vanderbilt Invitational.

Along with the performance from yesterday's Vanderbilt Invitational and today's Camel City Elite Meet, NC State has earned eight national top-15 marks this weekend. At today's meet, Alexis Perry earned the team's final national mark in the 60m hurdles.

At the Camel City Elite meet, all five of the Pack's competitors earned national marks.

Yesterday, Nicole Chavis hit the top NCAA mark in the weight throw and Jonathan Addison's long jump leap is ranked third in the NCAA.

Sprints:
Quashawn Cunningham opened his season with a new 60m PR and ACC qualifying mark. Cunningham finished seventh in both the prelims and finals with his best time of 6.83 coming in the final heat.

On the women's side Paisley Simmons earned her conference mark in the 60m prelims, finishing second in her heat and seventh overall with a time of 7.56. Simmons advanced to the finals where she took sixth in 7.62.

J'den Williams came in 11th with a mark of 7.60.

In the 400m, Will Krehnbrink earned a new personal best and ACC mark after finishing third, crossing the finish line in 47.56. His previous indoor 400m PR was 48.05.

On the women's side, Tiana Patillo finished eight in 56.19.
Â
Hurdles:
Perry won her opening heat in her first 60m hurdles race of the season, crossing the finish line in 8.38. The Durham, N.C., native continued her strong run in the finals, netting a season-best mark of 8.28 in the final heat. Her mark is currently tied for 13th in the nation. Perry is the eighth NC State athlete this weekend to crack into the national top-15 lists.

Also in the 60m hurdles, Nyah Hines recorded a season-best time in the event, crossing the finish line 9.07.

On the men's side, Joshua Gandy tied his PR of 8.22 and Dorian Williams improved his PR to 8.34, as both picked up top-15 finishes.

Jumps:
Amara Bell set a new personal best in the triple jump, as she improved over two feet from her first mark of the season. Bell finished eighth with a leap of 38'10.75", while Javonne Antoine took ninth with a jump of 38'9.50".

Mid-Distance:
Jon Knight came within .06 seconds of the conference qualifying mark, finishing with a new PR of 1:51.89. Knight's time is a 3.5 second improvement from his first time of the season.

In the men's mile run, Bakri Abushouk and Meron Simon earned the conference qualifying mark with top-10 finishes. Abushouk finished 7th in 4:06.27 and Simon took 10th with a mark of 4:08.40.

On his track debut, Philip Hall finished 13th in 4:10.18.

In the women's mile, Sarah Kanney had an impressive track debut, as she finished 11th in 4:55.63. The race marked Kanney's first-ever collegiate track meet.

Distance:
Rachel Koon led the Wolfpack distance runners with a fifth-place finish in the 3,000m race, crossing the finish line in 9:45.29. On their season debuts, Olivia Enright (9:50.21), Alyssa Rudawsky (9:56.24) and Alexa Harvey (9:57.23) all recorded top-15 finishes.

In the men's race, Patrick Sheehan came less than a second short of a conference-qualifying mark. Sheehan finished sixth in 8:15.91, while Aaron Thomas followed closely behind coming in 11th with a time of 8:29.11.
