Track & Field Looks to Regular Season Finale at JDL Last Chance Invitational

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Wolfpack will wrap up the track and field regular season at the JDL Last Chance Invitational in Winston-Salem, N.C., on February 21st.

LAST TIME OUT
Last weekend, the Wolfpack delivered a standout weekend highlighted by record book performances and multiple podium finishes across three meets.
Leading the way, Sadie Engelhardt posted a historic 2:23.84 in the 1 mile ASICS event to finish second overall while also breaking the NC State and ACC records. Her time ranks No. 5 in Division I for the 2025-26 season and No. 6 all-time in NCAA Division I history.
Along with Engelhardt's second-place finish, seven other athletes found themselves on the podium in their respective events.
TOP-20 NATIONAL RANKINGS
For the fourth consecutive week, Englehardt and Angelina Napoleon remain in the national top-20 in their respective events. Engelhardt moved up a spot to No. 5 in the mile, while Napoleon sits at No. 13 in the 3000m.
At the event squad level, Bethany Michalak, Kate Putman and Brooke Rauber, along with Engelhardt continue to hold a spot in the women's mile rankings, coming in at No. 7 this week.
Also at No. 7 is our 3000m squad of Hannah Gapes, Napoleon, Engelhardt and Rauber.
New to the ranks this week is the 5000m squad of Rauber, Michalak, Briley Bickerstaff and Jolena Quarzo, checking in at No. 11 with a 15:55.26 average.
On the men's side, the triple jump squad remains steady at No. 11, featuring Ryan John, Ryan Farness, Asun Pender and Jack Owen.
