Wolfpack Wraps Up Regular Season with Eight Podium Finishes and a New School Record at ASICS Last Chance Invite

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - NC State closed out the regular indoor track and field season at the ASICS Last Chance Invite in Winston-Salem, N.C.
The day was highlighted by four first-place finishes, three second-place finishes and one third-place finish to total eight podium finishes, along with a new school record in the women's DMR.
On the track, both DMR teams had great performances. For the women, Bethany Michalak, Brooke Rauber, Angelina Napoleon and Sadie Engelhardt clocked a 10:46.00 to finish first and write a new school record. That time also ranks as the sixth-fastest time in the NCAA this season.
For the men, Jack Anstrom, Palmer Smith, Elliott McArthur and Ian Harrison finished third with a time of 9:43.81, which now ranks No. 13 in DI college indoor rankings.
In the field, the Wolfpack throws had a day with all three athletes achieving podium finishes, with Natalie Griffith finishing first in the weight throw and Tony Taylor II finishing first in the weight throw with a distance that ranks No. 9 all-time in NC State history.
