Louisville Evens Series with the Wolfpack

Heath Andrews (3-2) started on the mound for the Wolfpack. Andrews would only go three innings, giving up seven earned runs with one strikeout in the loss.
NC State (23-12, 8-6) made five errors, the most in a game for the Wolfpack since 2022.
Five of the eight runs for the Wolfpack came via the home run. Ryan Jaros hit his third of the season after coming on as a pinch hitter and Brayden Frassman hit his seventh to put him in a tie for the team lead in the category. Fraasman also extended his hitting streak to nine games which is the longest by a Wolfpack player this season.
Trenton Lyons in his third start of the season picked up his first two RBIs in a Wolfpack uniform after a single put the Pack on the board in the bottom of the fourth.
With a walk, Josh Hogue extended his on-base streak to 12 games.
Louisville (26-8, 9-5) had 21 hits on the day with six home runs and eight doubles. Overall the visitors were 22-47 at the plate (.468) and 9-17 with runners in scoring position.
Brennyn Cutts (3-0) got the win for the Cardinals in relief. He went three innings, allowing four runs on two hits, three walks, and four strikeouts.
The 25 runs are the most runs given up by NC State under head coach Elliot Avent; the previous high was 24 against Elon in 2013.
Up Next: NC State will try to earn its fourth ACC series win of the season tomorrow. The rubber game between the two clubs will be broadcast on ACCNX at 1 p.m. from Doak Field.
