
Pack Earns 0-0 Draw at Miami

MIAMI, Fla. – NC State women's soccer team finished the evening in a 0-0 draw with Atlantic Coast Conference foe Miami.
The Wolfpack (2-7-6) put the Canes (3-7-5) defense to work as they recorded five shots through the first 45 minutes. Sophomore Taylor Chism recorded the lone shot on goal in the first half, but it was blocked by the Canes goalie.
In the 77th minute, Jameese Joseph attempted a shot at the bottom left of the goal, but was stopped by the Canes keeper once again.
With two minutes left in the meeting, freshman Mary Frances Symmes recorded a shot on goal, the first of her collegiate career. The shot was the third on goal for the Pack and 11th of the evening.
The Wolfpack defense held the Canes to only five shots with two on goal. NC State keeper Olivia Pratapas recorded two saves in her 90 minutes on the pitch.
Junior Emika Kawagishi totaled three shots on the evening, the most in a match this season. In addition to Kawagishi, five other members of the Pack recorded at least one shot throughout the evening -- Joseph, Chism, and Annika Wohner each recorded two.
