NC State wraps up Bob Pollock Meet four personal best marks

CLEMSON, S.C. - The NC State track and field program wrapped up competition in the Bob Pollock Invitational on Saturday with four athletes earning new personal best marks.Â

THROWS

Nathan Lau kicked the day by claiming 18th place in the men's shot put with a throw of 14.04m (46 '00.75").
Â
In the women's shot put, Mahkayla Hart set a new personal best with a mark of 13.94m (45'09.00"). That was the seventh-best throw in school history and earned her ninth place.Â

Katie Horne also established a new personal best with a throw of 11.92m (39'01.25").Â

Wolfpack Senior Jamar Davis earned fifth place with a jump of 14.87m (48'09.50") in the men's triple jump.Â

On the women's side of the triple jump, Jirah Sidberry also earned a top-10 finish, coming in seventh with a jump of 12.29m (40'04.00").Â

In the women's 800m, Caroline Lewis set a new personal best with a time of 2:13.30.

Two NC State sophomores earned top-20 finishes in the men's 800m, as Jake Toomey (1:51.43) claimed eighth place and Zach Hughes (1:51.72) came in 12th.

Junior Wesley Larson also competed in the event, earning a new personal best with a time of 1:54.37.Â
