Men's DMR, Kyzaiah Stone pick up first-place finishes
BLACKSBURG,VA. The NC State indoor track and field team wrapped up day two of the Hokie Invitational Saturday afternoon.Â

The Wolfpack saw several athletes reach personal best in their respective events. The highlight of the day for NC State was a first place finish from the Men's Distance Medley Relay team.

DISTANCE
Â
The combo of Kyle Durham, Zach Hughes, Brett Gardner, Travis Koekemoer and Jake Toomey finished first with a time of 9:45.51, good enough for eighth in school history.Â

In the 800, Wesley Larson finished inside the top 20 (16th) with a time of 1:55.12.

SPRINTS
Â
In the men's 200, Henry Young had a top-10 finish, coming in sixth with a time of 22.14. On the women's side Ally Henson and Imunique Archie advanced to the finals and finished 19th and 23rd, respectively.
Â
Henson ran the 200 in 25.65 and Archie ran 25.97.
Â
In the 400 finals, Timara Chapman came in seventh with a time of 56.21, while teammate Carolina Lewis finished 19th with a time of 58.40. Those were both personal best times. Allison Payton came in 21st place (1:00.77).

Â
Freshman Kyzaiah Stone continues his impressive rookie campaign, winning the high jump for the second consecutive weekend. Stone had a jump of 7 - ÂĽ on Saturday.

Jamar Davis placed second in the men's triple jump, leaping out 49-8 ÂĽ in Blacksburg.
Â
In the triple jump, Jirah Sidberry finished ninth (39-4).

THROWS
Â
Freshman Nathan Lau had a personal best toss of 47-9 ÂĽ in the shot put, securing a top 10 (ninth) finish. On the women's side, the Wolfpack had three top 20 finishes.

Mikieja Covington finished 17th (38 - 3 ¼); freshman Katie Horne finished 18th (36 - 11 ½); Jakerra Covington finished 20th (36 - 4 ¼).
