
Bush, Tuohy Win Individual Titles on Final Day of ACC Championships

DURHAM, N.C. - The NC State track & field teams finished action at the ACC Championships on Saturday, winning two individual titles in addition to several podium finishes.
The Wolfpack women placed fourth as team with 91 points, its highest team finish since 2017. NC State's men's squad placed 11th with 40 points.
DISTANCE
Katelyn Tuohy won the Pack's first individual title of the meet, running a 4:06.84 in the women's 1500m that ranks seventh in collegiate history. The mark set facility, meet, school and personal records and earned the sophomore First Team All-ACC honors.
Anna Vess tabbed a podium finish in the event as well, posting a 4:12.04 that ranks fourth in program history and fourth in the nation. She placed third, attaining First Team All-ACC accolades in the event.
Savannah Shaw rounded out the All-ACC group in the women's 1500m, clocking a 4:16.39 to place sixth. Her mark checks into the NC State record book as sixth-fastest in program history.
The Wolfpack saw its second individual title of the day in the women's 5000m. Sam Bush got the win with a 15:46.20 that set a facility record. Tuohy tabbed her second podium finish of the day in the race, placing second with a 15:50.02. Both attained First Team All-ACC honors.
Marlee Starliper and Shaw posted Second Team All-ACC performances in the 5000m, Starliper running a personal-best 16:01.01 and Shaw clocking a 16:03.17.
Jenna Schulz set a PR in the event, crossing the finish line in 16:22.30.
Nate Kawalec registered a Second Team All-ACC performance in the men's 5000m, recording a 13:39.40 that ranks third in program history. Robinson Snider recorded a personal best and the eighth-best time in NC State history with a 13:49.13.
Dan McGoey set a PR as well with his 14:03.95.
SPRINTS
Ally Henson ran a personal best in the women's 100m hurdles, tabbing a 13.65 to improve her own sixth-best program mark.
Joshua Brockman and Cameron Murray represented NC State in the men's 110m hurdles, each placing in the top six to garner Second Team All-ACC honors.
Brockman ran the second-fastest time in program history with his 13.70 and finished in fifth while Murray crossed the finish line in 13.76, placing sixth.
Jada Griffin attained a second-place finish in the women's 400m, setting a school record with her time of 52.27. The time was good for First Team All-ACC accolades.
