
Pack Prepped for NCAA East Regional Competition

RALEIGH - The NC State track & field teams are set to begin NCAA East Regional Championships action Wednesday, May 25 in Bloomington, Ind.
Thirty-three individuals qualified to the East Regional and will compete across 23 events. Those 33 student-athletes and NC State's 35Â regional entries are the most in program history.
The top 12 finishers in each of individual and relay event will advance to the NCAA Championships in Eugene, Ore.Â

Hannah Steelman ran for NC State's first podium finish of the 2022 ACC Championships with an impressive 10000m race. The graduate student clocked a 33:28.85 for third place.
On the second day of the conference championship meet, Timara Chapman registered a second-place finish in the women's heptathlon with a school-record 5733 points. She tabbed top-three finishes in four of the heptathlon events.
The women's triple jump saw Michelle Cobb garner third place with a 12.62m (41' 5") mark.
Brett Gardner achieved a third-place finish in the men's 3000m steeplechase at the meet, crossing the finish line in 8:37.75.
The Wolfpack won a pair of individual titles on the final day of the ACC Championships, the first by Katelyn Tuohy in the women's 1500m. Her time of 4:06.84 checks in as the seventh-fastest all-time collegiate mark. Anna Vess ran an personal-best race in the event, placing third in 4:12.04.
Jada Griffin clocked a school-record 52.27 in the women's 400m to place second in the event.
In the women's 5000m, Sam Bush won her first career ACC title with a facility record-setting 15:46.20. She was followed by Tuohy's second-place finish in 15:50.02.

The Wolfpack's qualifiers for the NCAA Championships will make the trip to Eugene, Ore., to compete June 9-12.
