Wolfpack Records Top-10 Program Marks at Tom Jones Memorial

GAINESVILLE, Fla.- The NC State track & field programs opened the weekend of competition at the Tom Jones Memorial on Friday, kicking off the meet with a slew of personal-best performances.
JUMPS
Mikieja Covington led the way in the women's long jump with a PR of 5.71m (18' 8.75"). Timara Chapman competed for NC State in the event as well, posting a new personal record of 5.65m (18'6.5").
Jirah Sidberry laced up for the Pack in the invitational section of the women's long jump. She notched a 6.12m (20' 1") mark that was good for a personal best and the fifth-best jump in NC State history.
In the men's section, Cameron Murray and William Sistruck each posted new personal-best performances. Murray concluded the event with a jump of 7.36m (24'1.75"), and Sistruck completed his attempts with a result of 7.08m (23'2.75").
SPRINTS
In the women's 200m, McKenzie Long and Jada Griffin improved on their top-ten program finishes. Long bested her own third all-time mark in program history, recording a time of 23.38. Griffin came across the line at 23.67 to top her seventh-best mark in school history.
Ally Henson ran a time of 24.82 to set a new personal best in the event.
Alan Alvarez, running a 21.25, and Alexander Lang, clocking a time of 21.52, both set PRs in the men's section of the 200m. Alexander Nunley debuted in the event with a time of 21.44.
