#Pack9 Travels To UNCG Tuesday For Midweek Tilt

RALEIGH – No. 17 NC State baseball (8-4) is set to make the trip to Greensboro, N.C., Tuesday afternoon for a midweek tilt with UNCG (6-5). First pitch is set for 3 p.m. at UNCG Baseball Stadium.
The game will be broadcast on ESPN+ and there will be an audio stream on WKNC 88.1 and the Varsity Network App.

LAST TIME OUT
NC State hosted Northeastern last weekend in Raleigh and suffered a series sweep with 6-1, 8-5 and 6-0 results.
The weekend snapped a streak of 19 consecutive nonconference series wins, and it was the team's first time suffering a series sweep since 2006.
SERIES HISTORY
Tuesday will be the 39th meeting in program history between the Wolfpack and Spartans, as NC State owns a 29-9 advantage in the all-time series.
The teams last met on March 30, 2021, in Greensboro, and the Pack earned a 3-0 victory behind Chris Villaman's one-hitter complete game shutout on the mound when he matched his career high in strikeouts at the time with nine.
NC State has won five of the last six meetings between the squads, dating back to 2015.
BROWN'S ON BASE
Devonte Brown has reached safely in all 12 games this season on a hit, walk or hit-by-pitch. Going back to last season, he tallied two hits in the final game of the College World Series to give him a 13-game reached base streak.
CAREER OUTING FOR CARSON KELLY
Freshman reliever Carson Kelly had a stellar outing on March 6 vs. Northeastern, as he tossed a career-long 3.0 shutout innings and matched his career high in strikeouts with four, as he yielded just one hit and one walk.
He currently leads all freshmen in appearances this season with four and is the only freshman on the staff with double digit strikeouts (13).
