
Tuohy Wins Second Silver Medal as Wolfpack Concludes Indoor Season

BIRMINGHAM, ALA. - The NC State track & field teams concluded 2022 indoors action on Saturday, competing in two events at the NCAA Indoor Championships.
The NC State women collected 25 points on the weekend, good for the team to record the highest finish in program history with a 9th-place finish.
Chris Alexander kicked things off for the day, competing in the men's triple jump. The junior garnered Second Team All-America honors, jumping 15.51m (50'10.75") with a 13th-place finish.
Four Wolfpack competitors suited up for the women's 3000m. Katelyn Tuohy achieved a second-place finish in the race with an 8:59.20, earning First Team All-America accolades.
Sam Bush attained First Team All-American status in the women's 3000m as well, placing sixth in 9:02.26.
Kelsey Chmiel tabbed her second First Team All-America laurels of the meet with a seventh-place finish in the 3000m. The Saratoga Springs, N.Y., native ran a 9:04.77.
Allie Hays rounded out the group of Pack competitors, placing 14th in the 3000m with a 9:09.82 to receive Second Team All-America honors.

NC State turns its attention to the outdoor season as it travels to Orlando, Fla., March 18-19 for the UCF Invitational.
