
Track & Field Opens Action at Camel City Invite

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Wolfpack track & field teams continued their indoor seasons at the Camel City Invitational with several PRs and multiple podium finishes.
DISTANCE
Sophmore Gionna Quarzo took home the first-place finish in the women's 5000m. She finished the race with an unconverted time of 16:16.25.
JUMPS
Adding a podium finish to the Pack's total, Marcus Odums recorded a long jump mark of 6.97m (22'10.5") for third place.
THROWS
Andrew Haberman and Lance Penegar set personal bests in the men's weight throw. Haberman earned another podium for the Wolfpack, tossing the weight 18.40m (60'4.50") to tab a third-place finish on the day.
Penegar concluded the event with a PR of 6.53m (54'2.75").
On the women's side, Kayla Beasley tied her personal best of 16.94m (55'7"), giving her third place on the day and the Wolfpack another spot on the podium.
