
NC State Set for Camel City Invite

RALEIGH - The NC State track & field teams will continue 2022 action Feb. 4-5 in Winston-Salem, N.C., at the Camel City Invite.
Twenty-five athletes will travel to Winston-Salem to compete in 13 events.

Timara Chapman broke the school record in the women's pentathlon at Clemson's Bob Pollock Meet, totaling 4008 points and placing in the top three in three of the events. Chapman's score was good to earn her a second-place finish overall.
Von Douglas continued a stellar season in the men's long jump, charting the second-best mark in school history at 8.08m (26'6.25") and taking first place. The results were good to earn Douglas his first ACC Field Performer of the Week honors of the season.
Chris Alexander tabbed an individual title at the meet as well, jumping 15.78m (51'9.25") in the men's triple jump for the seventh-best mark in NC State history.
UP NEXT
The Wolfpack will send athletes to two meets the weekend of Feb. 11-12 with some competitors traveling to the Darius Dixon Memorial Invitational (Lynchburg, Va.) and others competing at the Tyson Invitational (Fayetteville, Ark.).
