
NC State Concludes Action-Packed Weekend

RALEIGH - The NC State track & field teams concluded a full weekend of competition on Saturday, bringing home two first-place finishes on the day.
DISTANCE
Representing the Pack in the men's 1000m, Nate Kawalec bested his PR with a time of 2:34.01.Â
NC State's men's DMR squad of Kyle Durham, Zach Hughes, Jake Toomey, and Brett Gardner earned a time of 9:50.29 to bring home the first-place finish.
In the men's mile, Miles Ally set a personal best of 4:19.03. On the women's side, the Wolfpack set three PRs led by Anna Vess' first-place-winning PR of 4:37.42. Her time additionally was good for third-best in school history. Jenna Schulz followed with a personal best of 4:51.43, and Alyssa Hendrix rounded things out with a PR of 4:54.54.
Gavin Gaynor laced up for NC State at the David Hemery Valentine Invite, clocking a personal-best 8:06.28 in the men's 3000m.
JUMPS
In the triple jump, Chris Alexander recorded the seventh-best mark in the nation with a personal-best jump of 16.15m (53'0"). The jump is also the fifth-best mark in program history.
SPRINTS
Three NC State runners posted PRs in the men's 300m, the fastest coming for Alex Nunley as he charted the fourth-quickest mark in program history and a third-place finish (34.83). Following close behind, Alan Alvarez set a PR of 35.16 for the seventh-best time in school history. Isaiah Gadson posted a personal-best performance as well, running a 35.83.
In the 60m hurdles final, Cameron Murray clocked a time of 7.95 to take second place.
