NC State Men’s Track & Field Squad Opens NCAA East Preliminary Competition

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Wolfpack track & field men opened NCAA East Preliminary action on Wednesday, competing in the long jump, 110m hurdles, 100m and 10000m.
JUMPS
Von Douglas and Chris Alexander represented NC State in the men's long jump, finishing in 16th place and 30th place, respectively.
Douglas competed in the event at the East Regional for the second-straight year in the which the meet has been held, posting a mark of 7.47m (24'6.25") while Alexander tabbed a 7.16m (23'6").
SPRINTS
Joshua Brockman clocked a 13.94(w) in the men's 110m hurdles, finishing just outside of the quarterfinals-qualifying threshold in 27th.
DISTANCE
The last race of the day for the Wolfpack was the men's 10000m. Graduate student JP Flavin posted a time of 30:08.94 to take 32nd in the race.
