
NC State Set for Tiger Paw Invite

RALEIGH - The NC State track and field team will travel to Clemson, S.C., to compete in the Tiger Paw Invite Feb. 12-13.Â

NC State will send 23Â athletes to Clemson and will compete in 23 events at the meet.
LAST TIME OUT
The Wolfpack recorded an impressive outing at the Virginia Beach Invitational on Feb. 1, posting multiple marks that checked into the top 25 in the country.
Cameron Murray tabbed a first-place finish in the men's 60m hurdles at the meet with a time of 7.96 and was followed by Joshua Brockman's second-place time of 7.99.
Chris Alexander's 51'8.5" (15.76m) mark in the men's triple jump was good for not only a first-place finish but also a top-15 national mark. Currently, the jump is 15th-best in the country. Von Douglas tied for first place in the men's long jump with a personal-best 24'10.5" (7.58m).
Graduate student Elly Henes posted a pair of top-five national times, first with a 9:03.43 in the women's 3000m and then with a 15:49.96 in the women's 5000m. Both times sit at fourth-best in the NCAA as well as in the top two in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC). Her 3000m time is second-fastest in program history.
Hannah Steelman ran a 15:47.43 in the women's 5000m that was good for the top time in the ACC and is currently third-best in the country. The time earned her a first-place finish in the event.
UP NEXT
The team will compete in two meets the Feb. 19-20, traveling to Winston-Salem, N.C., for the Camel City Invitational in addition to Blacksburg, Va., for the Virginia Tech Challenge.
