Evans Collects Shot Put TItle at LIberty Twilight Qualifier

The Redshirt Senior Notched her Second Shot Put Title of the Outdoor Season
LYNCHBURG, Va. – Lauren Evans represented the NC State track and field team at the Liberty Twilight Qualifier on Wednesday, taking the shot put title to put an exclamation point on the Pack's impressive outdoor season leading into the 2019 ACC Outdoor Championships.
Evans earned her second shot put title of the outdoor season with a 16.89m mark, out-throwing the competition by over two meters. With the ACC Outdoor Championship qualifying standard set at 14.18m, Evans has exceeded that mark in every meet she has competed in.
WOMEN'S SHOT PUT
The NC State track and field team is set to compete at the 2019 ACC Outdoor Track and Field Championship in Charlottesville, Va., May 9-11. The meet will be hosted on the University of Virginia's campus.
