NC State to Compete at Liberty Twilight Qualifier on Wednesday

RALEIGH – Lauren Evans and Mikieja Covington are entered compete for the Wolfpack on Wednesday, May 1 at the Liberty Twilight Qualifier at the Matthes-Hopkins Track Complex in Lynchburg, Va.
Evans is set to compete in the women's hammer throw and women's shot put competition at the one-day event. The redshirt senior has posted top-10 finishes in her past four meets competing in shot put. Evans also owns one shot put title and one hammer throw title this season.
Covington is set to compete in the women's 100m hurdles, women's high jump, and women's javelin throw. She finished the 100m hurdles race at the Phoenix Invitational in 14.32, good for second place.

Competing at the Penn Relays and Tom Jones Memorial, NC State hit 16 ACC Outdoor Championship qualifying standards across four events (sprints, distance, jumps, throws).
