
NC State Set to Host Raleigh Relays

RALEIGH – The NC State track and field team is set to host Raleigh Relays March 29-30 at the Paul Derr Track & Field Facility. Known as one of the biggest outdoor track meets on the East Coast, the Raleigh Relays will run all day Friday and Saturday.

Pack on the Podium
In the opening two meets of the 2019 outdoor season, the team has found a place on the podium 16 times, including eight event titles.
Pack in the Top 20
NC State holds three spots in the top 20 on the 2019 outdoor qualifying list: Gabriele Cunningham (100m hurdles – second; 100m – seventh; 200m – 11th) and Shannon Patterson (200m – 20th).
Last Time Out
Competing at the High Point VertKlasse Meeting March 22-23, the Pack collected six podium finishes.
NC State posted three of the top four times in the men's 200m dash. Shannon Patterson (21.24) and Cravont Charleston (21.27) took home second-place and third-place finishes respectively. Teammate Alexander Lang finished fourth for the Pack with a 21.57 mark.
In the men's 4x400m relay consisting of Patterson, Junpai Dowdy, Alan Alvarez, and Charleston, NC State clocked in at 3:16.05 for a first-place finish.

For events starting before 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, fans will need to obtain a virtual event permit to park in the West Deck or West Lot.
