
NC State Wins Three Titles on Second Day at High Point VertKlasse Meeting

The Pack Collected Five Podium Finishes
HIGH POINT, N.C. – The NC State track and field team concluded competition at the High Point VertKlasse Meeting on Saturday. The Pack collected five podium finishes and three gold-medal honors.
Throws: Grace Gaudin threw for a personal-best 147'9" (45.05m) mark in women's hammer throw. In discus throw, Gaudin recorded her second personal-best of the day with a 132'0" (40.23m).
Sprints: In the women's 100m hurdles participation race, NC State recorded two podium finishes. Mikieja Covington recorded a gold-medal finish, clocking in at 14.31. Finishing in 14.54, Timara Chapman placed second and recorded a new personal-best. Those times clock in as top-10 marks in the NC State record books.
In the women's 200m dash participation, Covington bested her PR with a 25.86 mark.
NC State posted three of the top four times in the men's 200m dash. Shannon Patterson (21.24) and Cravont Charleston (21.27) took home second-place and third-place finishes respectively. Teammate Alexander Lang finished fourth for the Pack with a 21.57 mark.
Relays: The Pack women's 4x400m relay finished fourth with a time of 3:55.37
In the men's 4x400m relay, NC State recorded a first-place finish (3:16.05).
