RALEIGH, N.C. – The 12^th-ranked NC State baseball team will welcome a pair of in-state opponents in midweek matchups this week, as North Carolina A&T heads to Raleigh Tuesday afternoon and Charlotte visits Doak Field at Dail Park Wednesday. First pitch is slated for 3 p.m. both days.

Both games will be broadcast live on the ACC Network Extra, accessible through Watch ESPN and the Watch ESPN App. Radio coverage will also be available on WKNC 88.1 FM and on GoPack.com for premium subscribers.

NC State heads into the week with a 2-1 overall record, while N.C. A&T is 1-1 on the year and Charlotte is 3-0.

Last Time Out
The Wolfpack dropped an 8-6 decision in its last outing, as Seton Hall avoided the sweep. NC State won both games of last Friday's doubleheader to clinch the series.

Series Records
NC State leads the all-time series with N.C. A&T, 19-0.

The Wolfpack and 49ers have met 37 times with NCSU owning a 28-9 advantage in the all-time series.

Last Time Versus N.C. A&T
NC State won the most recent matchup against N.C. A&T, earning a 25-1 victory against the Aggies in Raleigh on April 24, 2016. The Wolfpack's 25 runs in that contest tied for the third most in program history.

Wolfpack senior Brian Brown earned the win in that matchup and classmate Brock Deatherage homered in that contest.

Last Time Versus Charlotte
NC State and Charlotte last met on March 28, 2017, when the Wolfpack earned a 15-10 win at BB&T Ballpark, home of Minor League Baseball's Charlotte Knights in Uptown.

Sophomore Michael Bienlien started on the mound in that matchup and was relieved by Joe O'Donnell, who earned the win. Brad Debo recorded a career-best six RBI against. Charlotte, as he hit a sacrifice fly in the first, bases-clearing double and a two-run homer.

Scouting N.C. A&T
N.C. A&T split a pair of games on the first weekend of 2018, defeating Coppin State 3-2 in the season opener before falling to the Eagles in the second game of the series, 9-5.

The Aggies finished the 2017 season with a 28-25 overall record, highlighted by a 15-9 mark in Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC). N.C. A&T was picked to finish second in the Southern Division of its league.

N.C. A&T had five players named to the Preseason All-MEAC Team, headlined by senior catcher Adan Ordonez and shortstop Brandon Melendez, who led the Aggies with a .363 batting average in 2017.

Senior infielder Milton Rivera led the squad with four hits and three runs scored on opening weekend.

Inching Closer to 800
After NC State picked up a pair of wins on opening weekend, head coach Elliott Avent now owns 793 wins with the Wolfpack and is just seven shy of reaching 800 wins in charge of the program. Last season, Avent surpassed 1,000 career wins as he is one of just 15 active coaches to own the distinction.

The Wolfpack hit four home runs in its season-opening series with Seton Hall, which ties as the second most in the ACC along with Wake Forest and behind UNC-Chapel Hill's five homers.
