RALEIGH – Ranked 17th nationally in the Associated Press Preseason Top-25 Poll, the NC State women's basketball team hosts its lone exhibition of the season Thursday evening against Anderson University. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 pm from Reynolds Coliseum with live video coverage provided by ACC Network Extra.

SCOUTING THE SPARTANS
-Anderson University posted a 20-11 record last season and qualified for the Division II NCAA Tournament.
-The Spartans outscored opponents 69-59 on average last season and outrebounded their opponents by nine boards per game.
-Anderson was selected to finish third in the South Atlantic Conference this season.
-During the 2015-16 preseason, Anderson defeated Clemson 79-55.

The 2018-19 campaign marks the 45th season of women's basketball at NC State and the 42nd competÂing in the Atlantic Coast Conference. NC State enters the season with an all-time record of 888-461 (.658) and 358-236 (.602) in league play.

Now entering season six under head coach Wes Moore, the Wolfpack has earned 32 true road wins (average of 6.4 per season) since the start of the 2013-14 season. In the prior eight seasons from 2005-06 to 2012-13, the Wolfpack earned 32 true road wins (4.0 per season).

CANADIAN SHARPSHOOTER
Junior guard Aislinn Konig has hit at least one three-pointer in 33 consecutive games dating back to Nov. 15, 2017. She hit 91 last season, setting a new program single-season record. The previous mark of 90 was held by Jennifer Howard since the 1995-96 season.

POSTSEASON PROGRESS
During the 2018 postseason, NC State participated in NCAA Tournament games in Raleigh for the first time since 2007. The Wolfpack is 14-2 in NCAA Tournament games played in Raleigh and has not lost a home game in the tournament since 1983.

NC State made its third NCAA Tournament appearÂance during HC Wes Moore's fifth season in Raleigh. This marks the first time that the Wolfpack has made two consecutive NCAA Tournaments since the proÂgram did so in 2006 and 2007. With the first-round victory over Elon on Mar. 16, NC State has won at least one game in back-to-back tournaments for the first time since the program did so in 1998 and 1999.

The Wolfpack concluded the 2017-18 season in the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament, making that round for the first time since 2007.

In addition to the usual gauntlet of challenging ACC games, NC State will play a non-conference schedule this season that features eight postseason teams from a year ago and an average opponent RPI of 120.

Every home game and all 16 league games will be televised in one form or another this season. In addiÂtion to the usual streaming coverage of ACC Network Extra, the Wolfpack will appear on ESPN2 (Feb. 18 vs. Notre Dame), ESPNU (Feb. 24 at UNC-Chapel Hill), and Raycom (Jan. 3 vs. Duke, Jan. 20 vs. Virginia Tech, Feb. 21 vs. Wake Forest, and Mar. 3 vs. Miami).

The 14th annual Play4Kay game will take place on Feb. 18, 2019 when defending national champion Notre Dame comes to Reynolds Coliseum. The game will be broadcast nationally on ESPN2.

The Wolfpack's Jan. 14, 2018 win over Syracuse was head coach Wes Moore's 100th at NC State. Having accomplished this feat in just 148 games, he is the third quickest active ACC head coach to achieve 100 wins at his school. (Duke's Joanne McCallie - 122 and Louisville's Jeff Walz – 147.)
