Women’s Golf Set to Play at NB3 Matchplay

SANTA ANNA PUEBLO, N.M. – The NC State women's golf team will wrap up the month of September by playing at the third annual NB3 Matchplay event sponsored by the Santa Ana Casino Resort. The men's team will also be playing in the tournament.
The tournament is set from Tuesday, Sept. 29 to Wednesday, Sept. 30 in a matchplay format at Twin Warriors Golf Club. On the women's side, NC State will face New Mexico, New Mexico State and Oklahoma.
Each team will play 36 holes on the first day and 18 on the final day. Shotgun matchplay starts in twosomes at 9:20 a.m. ET in round robin format on Tuesday and a single tee matchplay will start in foursomes that afternoon at 2 p.m. ET in round robin format. On Wednesday, start times are set for 1 p.m. ET. Any match not finished from Tuesday will start on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. ET.
Official pairings for round one will be announced at the official player dinner on Monday night.
Each team receives one point for winning the match, 0.5 points for splitting the match and no points for losing the match. In the event of a tie at the conclusion, each coach will select one player to compete in a sudden death playoff.
The tournament is broadcast on Golf Channel for both of the tournament days. The coverage will begin at 5:30 p.m. ET on Tuesday and 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
Twin Warriors Golf Club is a par-72, 6,200-yard course.
