Wolfpack Finishes Last Day of ACC Outdoor Championships With Four Podium Finishes

LOUISVILLE, KY - The NC State track and field team wrapped up the final day of the 2026 ACC Outdoor Championships with four podium finishes and seven athletes earning All-ACC honors across their respective events.
Ryan John and Ryan Farness opened Championship Saturday with strong performances in the triple jump, placing third and fifth, respectively, in the triple jump to combine for 10 points for the Wolfpack men.
Sadie Engelhardt added eight points on the women's side with a runner-up finish in the 1500m, earning First-Team All-ACC honors.
Following a two-hour weather delay, Elijah Dawes delivered a personal-best performance in the 400m final, placing third and scoring eight points for the Wolfpack men.
Xavier Branker continued the momentum with a second-place finish in the 400m hurdles, securing First Team All-ACC honors and adding another eight points.
On the distance side, Hannah Gapes earned second-team All-ACC honors after placing fifth in the 5000m with a personal-best time.
Overall, the women finished 12th with 31 points and the men finished eighth with 39 points.

UP NEXT
Wolfpack athletes whose marks rank in the top-48 in the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field East Region will travel to Lexington, KY, to compete in the NCAA East Regionals, May 27-30. They will look to punch a ticket to the NCAA Championships.
