Mo Money Hits a Grand
- Noted as one of the best two-way players in the country, freshman Morgen Talley delivered yet another stellar performance on the diamond. During the week of April 7–12, Talley posted a .500 batting average and a .938 slugging percentage, totaling 13 RBIs, eight hits (including three extra-base hits), and four runs. She also went 3–0 in the circle with a save, throwing 11.0 innings and striking out 14.
- The most impressive part? She smashed two grand slams against Cal, becoming the fifth player in program history to hit two in a season—and the first to do so against the same opponent in the same weekend. Her grand slam in Friday's meeting helped her reach seven RBIs, tying a single-game program record previously achieved by only two other players—including teammate Hannah Church, who also hit two grand slams during the 2025 season.
- Her production against East Carolina and Cal earned her ACC Freshman of the Week honors for the third time, D1 Softball National Freshman of the Week for the second time, and Softball on SI Freshman of the Week. She is the only freshman to be a repeat winner for D1 Softball this season.
- In the three weeks she has earned weekly honors, her stats have been remarkably consistent across several categories. Looking at those performances together, her numbers are outstanding and further strengthen her case for Freshman of the Year. (^ denotes number of homers that were grand slams)
