#22 Pack Returns to Reynolds to Host #12 Tar Heels

RALEIGH, N.C. – No. 22 NC State gymnastics returns to Reynolds Coliseum for a home dual against rival No. 12 UNC on Sunday, Feb. 8 at 4 p.m. ET. The meet will mark the Pack's first national television appearance of the season, airing on ACC Network.
Sunday's meet will also serve as the program's Red Out. The first 250 fans inside Reynolds will receive a free NC State gymnastics belt bag, while the first 350 fans will receive red and white pom poms. Tickets for Sunday's meet are still available and can be purchased here.
Last Time Out
No. 21 NC State gymnastics earned its first road win of the 2026 season on Sunday, Feb. 1, defeating Pittsburgh, 195.875-195.525, at Fitzgerald Field House. The Pack's second overall win of the year featured event victories from Syniya Thomas on vault and Elle Hadrick on floor. Trailing after two rotations, NC State closed strong with scores of 49.150 on floor and 49.000 on beam to complete the comeback and secure its second ACC win of the season. The Wolfpack recorded eight total podium finishes and extended its winning streak over Pitt to seven consecutive duals.

NC State posted its highest score of the 2025 season in its last dual against the Tar Heels on Feb. 21, 2025, inside Reynolds Coliseum, defeating UNC 197.025-195.500. The meet featured five career highs, highlighted by Chloe Negrete's career-best 9.975 on beam. Negrete then anchored the floor rotation, earning a 9.900. Krista Zultevicz also recorded a career-high 9.875 to finish second on vault, while Elle Hadrick scored a 9.875 on bars and Ashley Knight delivered her best beam routine with a 9.825.

NC State checks in at No. 22 in the Week Five Road to Nationals poll. The Wolfpack ranks No. 23 on vault, No. 23 on bars, No. 28 on beam and No. 17 on floor.
Ahead of the 2026 season, NC State was tabbed No. 23 nationally by the Women's Collegiate Gymnastics Association preseason poll.

Hadrick is off to a strong start in 2026, recording three event wins through the Pack's first four meets, two on bars and one on floor.
She claimed a share of the top podium spot on bars in back-to-back meets against Clemson and Cal, posting scores of 9.875 in both routines. The marks tie Madeline Reid for NC State's highest bars score of the season.
On floor, Hadrick has continued her momentum with a pair of 9.900s already this year, including her first career event win on the apparatus at Pitt on Feb. 1. The performance pushed her career total of 9.900+ scores to five.
