#21 Gymnastics Ready for NCAA Regional Championships

LEXINGTON, Ky. – No. 21 NC State gymnastics is set for its 35th all-time NCAA postseason appearance as it travels to Lexington, Kentucky, for the 2026 NCAA Regional Championships. The Wolfpack will compete in the first of two second-round quad meets on Friday, April 3 at 1 p.m. on ESPN+, facing eighth-seeded Missouri, ninth-seeded Arkansas and Maryland.
The Lexington Regional opens Thursday, April 2 at 2 p.m. with a first-round dual between Rutgers and Central Michigan. The winner will advance to Friday's 7 p.m. second-round quad against top-seeded Oklahoma, No. 16 seed Kentucky and Ohio State. The top two teams from each second-round quad will advance to Sunday's final, with the top two finishers there earning spots at the 2026 NCAA Championships in Fort Worth, Texas.
Last Time Out
Gymnastics placed fourth at the 2026 ACC Championships on Saturday, March 21 at First Horizon Coliseum, posting a 196.500 in Session II. The Wolfpack finished behind third-seeded Clemson (197.100), top-seeded Stanford (197.075) and second-seeded California (196.900), while finishing ahead of fifth-seeded North Carolina (196.025) and sixth-seeded Pittsburgh (194.450), who both competed in Session I.
NC State placed two gymnasts on the All-ACC Championship Team on vault in Ava Myers and Autumn Rardin. Myers earned the Pack's lone podium finish of the night with a career-high matching 9.875, tying for second place alongside Clemson's Maggie Holman. Rardin also earned all-championship team honors after matching her career-best 9.850, finishing in a five-way tie for fourth.

NC State's selection to the 2026 Lexington Regional marks the program's 35th all-time NCAA Regionals appearance. The Wolfpack has advanced out of regionals once in program history, reaching the then-12-team NCAA Championship in 1988 and finishing 11th nationally.
The Wolfpack has advanced to a regional final once under the current championship format, doing so in 2021. NC State posted a 196.775 in the regional semifinals that season, which still stands as the highest score in program history at an NCAA Regional.
A season ago, the Pack earned a berth to the Tuscaloosa Regional and scored a 196.275 to place third in its semifinal behind Florida and Oregon State, while finishing ahead of Clemson.

With its regular season-ending win over West Virginia on March 13, NC State closed the 2026 regular season with a 15-5 overall record, including a 4-2 mark in ACC action. The Wolfpack also posted a strong 6-1 home record inside Reynolds Coliseum.
NC State finished the regular season with 84 total podium finishes, led by Syniya Thomas' team-best 22. As a team, the Wolfpack set or matched 24 career-best scores during the 2026 regular season and turned in 27 total routines that scored a 9.900 or higher.
The Wolfpack also opened the 2026 campaign with a 196.075 at Auburn on Jan. 9, marking the highest season-opening score in program history.
