#21 Gymnastics Travels to Pitt for Sunday Dual

RALEIGH, N.C. – No. 21 NC State gymnastics heads to Pittsburgh for its second straight road ACC dual on Sunday, Feb. 1 at Fitzgerald Field House. The meet is set to begin at 4 p.m. on ACC Network Extra with Jeff Hathhorn and Olivia Miller on the call.
Last Time Out
Freshman Adasyn Tackett delivered a career performance to earn her first collegiate event win on beam, while Elle Hadrick claimed a share of the bars title as the Pack competed at No. 20 California on Saturday, Jan. 24 at Haas Pavilion. The Wolfpack fell 196.050-195.575, but six total podium finishes and 11 scores of 9.800 or higher highlighted the outing.
A Win Would ...
NC State and Pitt last met in dual action on Feb. 8, 2025, when the Pack hosted the Panthers for its annual Pink Meet and earned a 196.475-193.600 victory. In the win, NC State posted scores of at least 49.000 on three of the four events and collected nine podium finishes, including event wins from Ashley Knight (vault and floor), Caroline Volk (bars) and Maddie Hall (beam).
Pack in the Rankings
NC State checks in at No. 21 in the Week Four Road to Nationals poll after reaching a season-high ranking of No. 18. The Wolfpack currently rank No. 15 on vault, No. 22 on bars, No. 30 on beam and No. 14 on floor.
Ahead of the 2026 season, NC State was tabbed No. 23 nationally by the Women's Collegiate Gymnastics Association preseason poll.
Fun on the Floor
Floor has been NC State's strongest apparatus to open the 2026 season, as the Pack posted a 49.250 at Auburn and followed it up with a season-best 49.300 against Clemson, the team's top single-event scores so far this year.
NC State has recorded three scores of 9.900 or better on floor this season, including two from Syniya Thomas and one from Elle Hadrick.
Following its season-high performance on the event against Clemson, the Pack climbed into the top 10 nationally on floor, ranking No. 9. NC State currently sits at no. 14 in the floor ranks.
