#18 NC State Takes Top Podium Spots in Two Events at #20 Cal

BERKELEY, Calif. – Freshman Adasyn Tackett turned in a career performance to claim her first collegiate event win on beam, while Elle Hadrick earned a share of the bars title as No. 18 NC State gymnastics competed at No. 20 California Saturday night at Haas Pavilion. The Wolfpack fell 196.050-195.575, but six total podium finishes and 11 scores of 9.800 or higher highlighted the night.
Bars (48.875)
NC State opened the meet on bars, posting a 48.875 led by Hadrick's podium-topping 9.875. The junior claimed her second straight bars victory while matching her season high and tying the highest bars score by a Wolfpack gymnast this season.
Madeline Reid added a 9.800 in her routine, while Ava Myers followed with a season-best 9.775.
Cal's Annalise Newman-Achee shared the event title with Hadrick.
Vault (48.900)
The Pack followed with a 48.900 on vault, opening the rotation with Lauren Wright's 9.750. Myers and Syniya Thomas led the way with matching 9.825s, each earning a share of third place on the podium. The score marked a season best for Myers.
Ashley Knight anchored the lineup with a 9.800, while Emerson Fisk made her collegiate vault debut, scoring a 9.650.
Cal's Casey Brown and Kyen Mayhew shared the event win with scores of 9.850.
Floor (49.075)
NC State recorded its best event score of the meet on floor with a 49.075, as all five counted routines scored 9.775 or higher. Thomas anchored the lineup with a 9.850 to earn a share of second place, while Autumn Rardin and Hadrick followed closely with matching 9.825s.
Jenna Rusk contributed a 9.800, and Katie Harper added a 9.775.
Tonya Paulsson won the event for the Golden Bears with a 9.875.
Beam (48.800)
The Wolfpack closed the night on beam, highlighted by Tackett's career-best 9.850 to earn her first collegiate event win. The score tied the highest beam mark by an NC State gymnast this season.
Rardin joined her fellow freshman on the podium with a 9.800 to share third place, while Maddie Hall returned to the beam lineup and posted a 9.725.
