
Four Members of the 2025 Softball Team Earn Academic All-District Honors

RALEIGH, N.C. – Four members of the NC State softball team were named to the Academic All-District team as announced by the College Sport Communicators (CSC) organization Tuesday afternoon.
Earning the honor for the first time in their careers is Hannah Church, Tori Ensley and Carly Maxton; senior Taylor Ensley earned the honor for the second year in a row.
To be nominated, a student-athlete must be a starter or important reserve with at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) at his/her current institution. The 2024-25 Academic All-District Softball Team, selected by CSC, recognizes that nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the diamond and in the classroom.
Church capped off her first season with the Wolfpack by appearing in all 54 games as either the designated player or catcher. She finished the season with a .329 batting average, .743 slugging percentage, 53 RBI's, 50 hits, 25 runs scored, and 19 homers. She earned All-ACC Third Team, in addition to Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete honors at the conclusion of the season.
Tori Ensley finished her sophomore campaign with a .294 batting average and team best 13 doubles. She led the team with 12 stolen bases on 13 attempts. She tallied 47 hits, 24 runs scored, 22 RBI's, three homers and a triple throughout the season. She earned Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete honors at the conclusion of the season.
Maxton led the Wolfpack pitching staff with a 3.91 earned run average, 11 wins, and six shutouts. She struck out 104 batters and threw 10 complete games. Through the first two weeks of the season, she tied for the first in the nation with a 0.00 ERA. She also earned Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete honors after the conclusion of the season.
Taylor Ensley completed off her senior campaign having started all 54 games for the Wolfpack. She had a .331 batting average, .630 slugging percentage, 51 hits, 30 RBI's, 29 runs scored, 11 homers, nine doubles and a team best two triples. She led the squad in conference play with a .391 batting average, 27 hits, 12 walks and six doubles. She capped off her collegiate career with All-ACC Third Team honors and Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete honors. 2025 marks the second year in a row the Franklin, N.C. native earned CSC Academic All-District honors.
