Wolfpack Continue Perfect Home Record With 4-0 Sweep Over Clemson

RALEIGH, NC – The No. 11 NC State Wolfpack remains undefeated at home after a commanding 4-0 sweep over Clemson on Friday afternoon at the J.W. Isenhour Tennis Center.
With a 9-5 overall record entering the weekend, the Wolfpack were determined to secure its 10th win of the season, after two tough matchups last weekend. Returning to Raleigh, they were eager to get back on its home courts.
NC State got off to a strong start in doubles action. On court three, Kristina Paskauskas and Michaela Laki set the tone with a 6-2 victory over Clemson's Annabelle Davis and Sophia Hatton. On court two, freshman Jasmine Conway and junior Anna Zyryanova remained consistent, allowing just three games before securing a 6-3 win to clinch the doubles point and put the Pack on the board.
With a 1-0 lead heading into singles, the Wolfpack continued to be dominant. Freshman No.121 Mia Slama, bounced back after a loss the previous week with an impressive 6-2, 6-2 victory over Gaia Parravicini on court six, putting the Pack up 2-0.
Sophomore Gabriella Broadfoot followed with a strong performance of her own, claiming a 6-1 first set and then holding her ground in the second, finishing 6-3. With the win, she claimed her 10th dual win of the season, putting NC State just one point away from the sweep.
For the clinch, junior Anna Zyryanova, riding a four-match winning streak in singles, closed things out in style. After taking the first set 6-2, Zyryanova wrapped up the match quickly, securing her fifth consecutive singles victory and sealing the 4-0 sweep for the Wolfpack.
Looking ahead, NC State will face the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets on Sunday, March 30, at noon at the J.W. Isenhour Tennis Center.
