Leah Iglesias scored the game-winner in the 56th minute, finishing off a cross from Molly Widderich. The Wolfpack outshot the Tribe 13-6 for the match and 7-3 in the final 45 minutes, but Iglesias' goal proved to be the difference in the low-scoring match at Dail Soccer Stadium.
NC State and William & Mary were knotted at 0-0 after a scoreless first half. The Wolfpack doubled the Tribe in shots, holding a 6-3 advantage in the opening half.
Antonella Mazziotto gathered a throw in from Brooklyn Holt down the right wing and fended off a defender before firing the Pack's first shot on goal of the match in the 10th minute.
