Top 10 finishes propels Wolfpack on Day Two of Outdoor Championships

EUGENE, Or. – Day Two of the NCAA Outdoor Championships saw big-time performances from the Wolfpack as Sam Bush set a personal best in the women's 1500 m, advancing to the finals, and Grace Hartman took home first-team All-American honors in the 10000 m.
Bush finished second in heat two and fifth overall out of 24 runners with a time of 4:07.43. The Cincinnati, Ohio, native came into the event with a previous best of 4:09.11, which was 14th in the NCAA. Her time in the prelims is the second fastest time in the event in program history.
The finals of the women's 1500 m will take place on Saturday, June 8 at 5:41 EST.
In her first outdoor championships, freshman Angelina Napoleon ran in the women's 3000 m steeple. Napoleon finished in 20th with a time of 10:10.40.
The women's 10000 m final closed out the night with Hartman and Amaris Tyynismaa running. With a time of 32:54.98, Hartman finished in eighth place to reach the podium and secure first-team All-American status. Tyynismaa did not finish the event.
Hartman will now have a day of rest and recovery before getting ready to compete in the 5000 m on Saturday, June 8 at 7:25 p.m.
